Dr. Caroline Campbell PT, DPT, PRPC
CFMT
Dr. Matt and Dr. Gabriela are Certified Functional Manual Therapists (CFMTs) through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA). In preparation for the 7 day CFMT exam in Steamboat Springs, CO, Dr. Matt and Dr. Gabriela had to take 8+ courses to sit for the exam. The courses included total body integration, functional mobilization, and individualized care. They have to renew their certification every 10 years by retaking all the courses and taking a written exam for each course.
PRPC
Dr. Caroline has her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC). To prepare for this 7 hour exam, she took 2 Herman and Wallace pelvic floor classes (Introduction to Pelvic Health, Urogynecologic Examination and Treatment Interventions). She also had to provide documentation of 2,000 hours of pelvic floor clinical experience. This certification covers all genders, and focuses on any condition that can affect the pelvic girdle or surrounding structures. The PRPC is valid for 10 years, at which point Dr. Caroline will have to retake the exam.
WCS
Dr. Gabriela is a Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS). To sit for this 7 hour exam, she had to provide documentation of 2,000 hours of direct patient care in the specialty area of pelvic health. In addition to the patient care hours, she had to submit a case study demonstrating specialty practice in the women’s health field within the last 3 years. This certification focuses more on women’s health issues, including breast cancer and lymphedema. To renew this certification, Dr. Gabriela has to write a new case reflection 3, 6, and 9 years after obtaining her certification, and must retake the exam after 10 years.
